Step inside Inveraray Castle's Armoury Hall and it's hard not to be impressed by the display of weapons lining the walls. There are somewhere in the region of 1300 pieces here and some have a particularly dark history. The guns are 1740s Brown Bess muskets and many were used by the Argyll Militia during the 1745 Jacobite rising.
