Robotic Cholecystectomy

A laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a minimally invasive surgery in which the gallbladder is removed through four small incisions in the abdomen using a tiny video camera and surgical tools. Living without a gallbladder is entirely possible. To digest the food, the liver will still be able to produce adequate bile. The main difference will be that the bile juice will be continuously released into the digestive tract because the gallbladder won't be around to store it. Dr. Moode Jayanth, Consultant
