Wausa provides many great recreational opportunities for adults and kids alike! The community features a beautiful park, baseball and softball diamonds, and a campground. The community swimming complex is currently being renovated to feature a new bath house and a revamped, zero-entry pool.

The community of Wausa has recently been selected to be part of Nebraska Children and Families Foundation’s Communities for Kids. Communities for Kids is a state-wide initiative which supports young children, families and those providing their care.

Wausa’s new grocery store owners, staff, and board of directors have all been hard at work to get The Market up and running. The group of local investors, known under Wausa Group LLC, took over ownership of Main Street Grocery in May 2023.
