Youth work promotes values of inclusion, mutual respect, equality and the involvement of young people in decision-making. It is about building relationships based on trust and shared understanding, and using the strengths of these relationships to develop a person-centred approach to the development of young people.

Our 100+ members are located throughout Scotland and together they are responsible for the majority of youth theatre activity delivered across the country each week.

Youth Theatre Arts Scotland has always existed to support our members, and in 2023 we invested further in our support offer with the launch of our Membership Development Programme.. This innovative programme consists of a Membership Support Portal of online resources, and the invaluable opportunity to work one-to-one with a Membership Support Coordinator.
