2025年2月12日 · Ethel Ardelle North, 93, of Long Pine, NE passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the O’Neill hospital after a brief illness. Ethel was born to Earl Chester and Dorothy Astella (Swanson) Nelson in Ord, NE on September 6, 1931, the oldest of six children.

2025年2月12日 · The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team was in Fall City for the NSAA Girls B District 2 Wrestling Tournament on February 7th and 8th. Ainsworth had six wrestlers compete with two, Paisley Hoffman and Megan Jones, qualifying for the upcoming NSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Omaha on February 18th and 19th.

According to Ainsworth Fire Chief Brad Fiala, at approximately 7:15 p.m. a fire was reported in a bedroom at 1009 E. First St. in a home owned by Jeanne Smith. 2025年1月8日 · It is wonderful news that we will continue to have a newspaper! Carol Woods and Don Murphy enjoyed the recent Christmas concert of Danny and Kathy Bennett held at The Connection. Carol enjoyed a visit from her brother, Jim Marsh of Ceresco, over the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Carol Woods recently accompanied her brother, Jim Marsh, on a vacation trip to Southwestern states. They enjoyed Monument Valley in Utah (gorgeous reddish color) where John Wayne made some movies, the beautiful Grand Canyon, Sequoia giant trees and the “General Sherman,” Yosemite Park, Donner Pass, Great Salt Lake, and other sites. The Mormon Tabernacle was under construction.

Carol Woods had .20” of rain after a lot of “grumbling” and some lightning Saturday night/Sunday morning. Carol enjoyed participating in the Labor Day parade at Johnstown with friend, Don, on the Allis Chalmers tractor with two seats.
