I recently checked out some episodes of the 1988 Superman series. As far as the many Superman animated productions are concerned, this series rarely gets mentioned. Produced to coincide with the 50th anniversary (and featuring Marv Wolfman as story editor and art designs from Jack Kirby & Gil Kane), I actually enjoyed this series.

I think we here all know of "Superman: The Animated Series", aired in 1996 and the second series of the DCAU after the original Batman show. Superman TAS is given high regard as an adaptation here, but in the recent years some people in the Superman fandom have moved some legitimate criticism towards the series who I will try to address in this ...

2023年3月11日 · The DCAU Superman is a little more aggro and brawn over brains than I’d like, but the series features some of the greatest depictions of Super-foes ever. Brainiac, Luthor, Toyman and Darkseid are all stellar, and there are some incredible episodes like Legacy too.

2018年8月24日 · Holy cow do I love this episode. I remember watching it for the very first time as a kid, and being blown away at how dark it dared to be. Granted, the show came after the regularly dark 'Batman: The Animated Series' , so it wasn't too farfetched of an idea, but still felt very strange in the context of Superman and this show in particular.

Superman: The Animated Series - Season 4? I know the continuity of the show is part of the DCAU, and it was continued throughout Justice League, but imagine if STAS had gotten a dedicated fourth season (or fifth, depending on how you look at season 3's odd release schedule).

2021年7月18日 · Dear Superman Fans: There are so many great episodes to choose from! One of my all-time favorite episodes is the third one from season three of "Superman: The Animated Series"! This episode was called "New Kids in Town" and featured Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Chameleon Boy of the Legion of Super-Heroes, from the 31st Century.
