Stanley Philip Smyl (born January 28, 1958) is a Canadian professional ice hockey executive and former player. He was selected 40th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft and went on to play his entire NHL career with the team until his retirement in 1991.

Smyl appeared in 62 games for Vancouver in his rookie year, scoring 14 goals and assisting on 24 others. He also brought his physical style to the big leagues, picking up 89 penalty minutes. In only his second season Smyl set a mark that few have ever equalled, leading the Canucks in goals, assists, total points and penalty minutes.
