2013年9月11日 · So, I found a set of 1957 172 seats that were horribly ugly but the frames were solid. I stripped them down, had them powder coated and finished them off with new upholstery from Sport Aircraft Seats. They look good, they feel good, and it raised me up about 2.5 to 3 inches. I can now see the top of the cowling, the improvement is huge.

2015年12月3日 · I use car seats with Lakevue seats. I forget the brand, but my car seats sit nicely on them and using the lap belts to the floor makes for a safe and very secure setup. I also attach the top anchor strap to my rear shoulder harness. Daniel at sport aircraft seats made nice covers that are comfortable to sit on.

I'm hoping to remake the sidepanels and headliner in vinyls, and redo the seating surfaces with a breathable automotive material like Enduratex with vinyl bolsters.
