2023年11月20日 · It's crazy how some people misunderstand the character of Snow White. She is 14 and she had to run away from her stepmother who is trying to kill her. Complaining about her not having agency is victim blaming. If I was 14 and my stepmother was trying to murder me I wouldn't be feeling strong and independent.

However, I do love Apple White and how she is written because of the complexity of her character. At the end of the day, she's also another victim who's been enslaved by the destiny system. The adults around her, especially Milton Grimm and Snow White, have manipulated her into the mindset she has throughout the books and the show.

Whether that be a pale hispanic, white, Asian, or middle eastern actor...it doesn't matter. But Snow White's defining physical trait is "skin as white as snow". Rachel Zegler doesn't have pale skin, so it seems miscast to me.
