I have a stored procedure which is being called from a dbms job. i.e. DBMS_SCHEDULER.RUN_JOB ('Procedure_JB', FALSE); A java code stored procedure, which after doing some stuff, kicks off Procedure_JB asynchronously. And then this Procedure_JB calls Procedure_PRogram and then the program would call the stored procedure.

2016年11月7日 · @user1881169 - OK. It seems odd for a job that monitors the database to write to a file rather than a table but it's certainly possible (assuming you want the file to exist on the database server).

2015年5月28日 · i use sys.dbms_scheduler.create_job instead of dbms_scheduler.create_job. I don't know differances but it's not important alteration. i used to_date to define start_date, as a fresh-starter i found this better practise. Important I added job_class parameter to 'DBMS_JOB$'. DBMS_JOB is built_in job class of Oracle RDBMS.

2022年12月22日 · After looking at the documentation for DBMS_SCHEDULER, you can see that you can create a scheduled job without needing to define a schedule as long as you set a start time. Personally, I wouldn't bother creating a procedure and program since the code being executed is so simple and it is just a one-time job.
