2023年9月1日 · Put it on the NVME if you have space. I wouldn't go out and buy new one if you have sata ssd and budget is tight though, not that big of a deal.
NVME vs SATA SSD for gaming: A helpful guide I found - Reddit

Nvme vs SATA SSD? Noticeable difference? : r/buildapc - Reddit
You can get a 2.5" SATA SSD that's 1TB for the same price of a nvme 500GB. For gaming the extra speed of nvme is not noticeable. If you were editing video or transfering files all day long then you'd need the faster one, if not stick to SATA SSD and get more space.
sata ssd vs nvme ssd : r/buildapc - Reddit
2023年7月21日 · NVMe drives are much faster, not just in terms of read / write speeds, but access latency, which has a much bigger impact on boot times and system snappiness than the synthetic max sustained read speeds that are slapped on the box. There are very, very cheap SATA ssds, but they're usually cache-less, and can end up being slower than a physical …

Enterprise grade 2.5" u.2 drives running at 7.8GBps... need cooling. Basically high performance m.2 nvme drive will need cooling or at least a passive heatsink. Is there a major difference in m.2 SSD vs SATA SSD for game
2020年6月8日 · For my hobbyist game engine, building on my NVME M.2 SSD compared to my 7200RPM HDD saves anywhere from 2-5 seconds. Regardless, purchasing an M.2 SSD for development and as an OS drive is pretty invaluable to me. It's gonna save you write and read time compared to a SATA SSD on basically any operation.
