I would suggest practice the removal/replace/stow in hatch operation once or twice before doing it for real somewhere down the road. Comfort factor with knowing how it works.

Lift off the targa top to remove it. Insert the targa top in the rear hatch, lining up the outside front edges of the top with the floor latches near the front of the hatch.
