The GCS was founded in 1970 by Joe Murdoch and Bob Kuntz to share their passion for golf history and the game’s collectibles and memorabilia.

Experiencing golf in this historic way alone is more important than trophies and awards, but part of the fun is testing ourselves against others in friendly competitions. Given the growth of hickory golf and the increasing number of events around the world, it is paramount that competition be conducted on an equitable and fair basis.
