2013年4月24日 · I have spoken to the HK reps, they did recommend the MR556A1 over the 416 with the trigger upgrade. HK themselves admit that chrome lining can obscure bore defects and limits accuracy. Realizing this is an HK site, personally I am not a fan of gas piston systems for rifles intended for accuracy. They are not normally as accurate as DI systems.

2010年4月10日 · Actually HK High Reliability Magazine (standard for HK416 series) was originaly developed and made as part of L85 reliability upgrade package from HK. As said above, HK416/MR556/MR223 uses any mil-std STANAG magazine, same as FAMAS.

The MR556A1 is manufactured in the USA using American and German made components. The MR556A1 uses many of the same assemblies and accessories originally developed for the HK416 including the HK free-floating four-quadrant rail system.

What I was curious about is any that have owned an MR556, are they picky about the type of .223 FMJ you feed it? I shoot the cheaper Wolf steel ammo in my AK, it handles the somewhat dirtier ammo fine. I know the HK MR556 is built on tighter tolerances than the AK platform is. So ...
