A single-end hoist barn allowed hay to be taken into the mow at only one end of the barn, usually through a large door high in the peak of the gable end. And the ridge of the roof externs out past the outer wall. Look up under that piece of roof and you will see a piece of hay mow track.

It will be just on one side of the structure, due to the fact that both of the big doors are on the same side (for easy pull through of course). I'll be attaching the loft to the existing interior structure. I was just curious.
