AMD specifically put out the X570 and B550 boards because the 400 and 300 series boards were buggy and not as well made. They work fine enough on older chips, but they just don't work well in the slightest on the 5000 series. 400s supporting 5000 series chips was not planned and only happened due to backlash.

If it's a more efficient 4090 that would be a little disappointing because presumably the 5000 series will have taken another leap. IMO the 6000 AMD vs 3000 Nvidia series was the best modern AMD generation, as the 6900XT was able to go neck and neck with the 3090 at raster, but 30-50% cheaper which was worth the RT penalty in value.

2020年10月8日 · Comparing current prices the 3000 series is more value focused. The price points have increased overall. The biggest take away here is we are missing the value focused SKUs like a 5700x or a 5600. AMD will eventually launch more value forced SKUs but it doubtful they will offer more performance per dollar than currently priced 3000 series chips.

Ryzen 5000 presents an ability to easily overclock your system "automatically", by simply flipping a switch. Real meat lies within modifying the values manually though, and I'll try to present doing this today. First off, you need to locate PBO 2 in your bios settings.

2021年6月17日 · AMD decided to not release a new chipset for Ryzen 5000 (which is actually a good thing, because there's nothing that could have been added for it that would have made it worth buying, except the Ryzen 5000 support). As a result, any boards that have been produced prior to adding Ryzen 5000 support will not support Ryzen 5000 out-of-box.
