Jan 23, 2022 · I am a single user and I have been going from 1password to Bitwarden and vice versa like ten times. But I have always come back to 1password, because I trust the system probably a bit more and definitely prefer the UI. I have a mix of devices both Apple and Microsoft, with and without the desktop app and 1password just FEELS better.

May 10, 2021 · An actual, dedicated password management app is a necessity for me. It doesn't have to be 1password, but I can't go back to letting Chrome or iCloud or whatever manage my passwords. Those systems feel primitive (for lack of a better word) compared to 1password.

1Password only asks for my password once (per time my PC is restarted), then only my Windows Hello PIN. And as expected, when I log in or sign up to a site, it asks if I want to save/update an item. Reply reply

I have the following frustrations with keychain that make me keep having to use 1password: Keychain can't store multiple URLs for a login entry. This means sites like microsoft.com, xbox.com, and live.com which share the same login information must be separate entries in keychain.

Now, simply choose “Scan QR Code” from 1Password on your signed-in phone (Android or iOS) to quickly add your 1Password account to a new device or browser. To finish enrollment, confirm the new device or browser when prompted on your phone and voila! Your 1Password account is automatically added and ready to go.

Aug 18, 2023 · I primarily use 1Password, but I also have a free bitwarden account for storing things I wouldn’t want in 1Password if it ever were accessed. Mainly that is 2FA backup codes. If a hacker got access to my 1Password vault, they still couldn’t access anything 2FA protected. But if my backup codes were there, then 2FA isn’t helping me.

Aug 18, 2021 · Tested here and for my 1Password for iPhone I can just do a regular search for the password in the search box. Yes it will search for everything matching that string. Unless the password is very short or a word used serval times in 1Password this should not be an issue, and manually looking through the results is reasonable.
