The HAV 304 / Airlander 10 is a hybrid airship, achieving lift, and thereby flight, via both aerostatic and aerodynamic forces. Unlike most airship designs, it does not have a circular cross-section, having adopted an elliptical shape with a contoured and flattened hull.

Airlander 10 (previously HAV304 Airlander) is a long-endurance, multi-intelligence vehicle (LEMV) and the world’s biggest lighter-than-air craft designed and developed by UK-based Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV). Its flight test programme was expected to conclude in 2016.

Each propeller is driven by a 4-liter V8 turbocharged Thielert Centurion diesel engines @ 325 hp (242 kW) each running on jet fuel. Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) requiring less than 1,000 feet (305 m) of clear space. Airship hull sits on longitudinal pneumatic skids under the two outer hulls; also providing an amphibious capability.
