2014年7月25日 · Bit depth (16 bit vs. 24 bit) isn't relevant for discussing Spotify's streaming service, as Ogg (the compressed format Spotify uses) is not PCM audio. Similarly, lossless formats (.wav, FLAC, ALAC) are not supported for local files in the Spotify desktop client, only .mp3, .mp4, .m4a, and .m4p, as stated here.

It's set permanently to reportedly 160kbps, which is laughably low for a platform, that can and is being used with HiFi audio. Please, let us pick 320kbps – it's one of the features we pay for in Premium subscription.

2021年1月3日 · A song of mine was taken down on Spotify. I spent over an hour communicating with them last night and they told me to contact the distributor (Distrokid). Distrokid said that Spotify took the song down. Spotify also said that a song of mine was flagged for artificial streams (a different song than the one that they took down).

2014年3月2日 · Perhaps they have deeper pockets than Spotify, but Spotify is a world leader in streaming music, and if minor player Qobuz can provide lossless and hi-res music so can Spotify. As for the integrity of lossless or hi-res music streaming, I think its great to have choice.

2014年3月2日 · All good, I've just reduced my Qobuz subscription to Classicsl only @ £14.99pm as Spotify has the slicker interface, better search and more organised and extensive catalogue - especially for new music. But how wonderful it would be to have all the above and lossless streaming like Qobuz on a Hi-Fi subscription!
