2020年5月2日 · I repurposed an old Samsung S3 for my EFB, but even an ancient Google Nexus 9 will run the Android EFBs just fine. If you are in the Google ecosystem for work, nonprofit, or personal reasons, the Android EFBs will work well. Put one copy on a tablet and one on your phone and you are covered with and without wifi access for planning.

2015年12月7日 · I used to use Garmin Pilot on a Samsung tablet, it would lock up and reboot several times a flight, maybe it was the version of Garmin Pilot I was on at the time but it just wasn't stable enough for me. Also, you get more features on the iOS version of Garmin Pilot, the newest features always come to the iOS version first.

2017年4月12日 · I like android too, but I bought an iPad and use flyQ, but your situation is equivalent. My backup is Avare on my android phone. I think I'll trial iFlyGPS and see how I like it on both android tablet and ipad. If you go the portable route, use the tablet for the approach plates georeferenced for situational awareness.

2006年5月25日 · The iFly tablet has serial out via the docking station to drive an autopilot. The tablet is thicker than most and the docking station is thicket still. In my EAB I mounted the dock into the panel as far as I could. I don't have the dock in the Cessna (and no autopilot). The Tripltek is thinner than the iFly but still thicker than a Samsung tablet.
