Los Angeles architect Robert Langdon designed the First National Bank of Nevada’s landmark high-rise office building on the corner of First and N. Virginia Streets. At 16 stories, the building was the tallest in Reno when it opened in 1963.

The west facade has a double-height portico with Ionic columns, whereas the south wall has two-story Ionic pilasters because there was insufficient space for columns. Wingfield used the building as headquarters for his statewide chain of twelve banks, from which he made extensive loans to support Nevada's livestock industry.

Three-story modern office building with exposed wood and steel beams, pre-manufactured floor system, concrete retaining walls and spread footings, steel columns and braces are used on this current project that DEI is working on with the architect, owner and contractor.
