Jonathan David Cahn (born 1959) is an American Messianic Jewish Rabbi, author, and novelist known for his debut novel The Harbinger. He is the founder and leader of the Beth Israel Worship Center in Wayne, New Jersey. Born in New York State, Cahn was raised in a Jewish family, the son of a Holocaust refugee, and attended the synagogue frequently.

He is the son and successor of the late Reverend Jerry Falwell and the brother of former Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. His older sister, Jeannie, is a surgeon.

Brother Jonathan came to Antioch as a young boy with his family. His goal and passion through his teen and young adult years was learning the scriptures and serving in the church as much as he could. Jonathan has a Master’s Degree from Antioch Baptist Bible Institute and has served as one of its teachers for over ten years.

Jonathan, his father, and brother Philip, Jr. joined the Virginia militia and fought with Col. William Christian in his expedition against the Cherokees. Jonathan was the pastor of Buffalo Ridge (Tennessee) for over 40 years.

Brother Jonathan Shepard was born in 1985 in Southeast Missouri. His parents later moved their family to North Alabama where his grandfather pastored. In 1997 his parents felt the call of God to go to the country of Jordan where at age 12 he began learning the Arabic language and culture.
