2017年10月19日 · Source Motherboard Standoffs Sizes. You can buy a standoff anywhere between 4mm to 10mm in length as far as I know. I have standoffs measuring 4mm, 6mm, 7mm and 8mm. Personally I like a larger standoff to allow cable routing behind the motherboard. Thin cables obviously. It also allows a better airflow behind the motherboard in my opinion.

2010年1月29日 · Regarding the screw slots, the motherboard has holes in it--look at the back side. You will want standoffs every place there is a hole where you would place a screw to connect to the case. Make sure you don't have more standoffs then holes because again this could cause problems.

2016年7月1日 · Remove the board, stuck standoffs and all. Even if the screws are cross-threaded into the standoffs, when you turn the screw, you will also be unscrewing the standoff at the same time. Once the board is out, grab the standoff from the back of the motherboard with the vice grips, and unscrew the screw with your philips head.

2014年7月10日 · Also about scraping your motherboard, I know your pain (hence the post), luckily I have figured it out since July and I haven't had any problems. After 3 hours trying to fit in the motherboard I took out the I/O shield and it slid right in. I brushed and bump the bottom of the mobo multiple times on the standoffs and have had no problems.

2008年3月18日 · Yup the washers aren't necessary, just make sure that you use the small button head screws rather than the ones with a flared base and that the screws are long enough to get a decent bite into the standoffs that are screwed into the case that the motherboard will rest on.

2010年3月2日 · Standoffs are between 4mm-10mm in height and use a 6-32 thread. The only thing you could really do is find rubber washers the same height range, 6-32 threaded rod, 6-32 nuts, and some thread lock compound then bolt it all together.
