For social media. I see the most common use case for discord is for large group pages. Similar to subreddits. It's great for that. And it's great for large friend groups too. But for gaming? I never saw a convincing reason to use discord over steam while gaming. Especially since steam chat was updated for server and voice channel support.

2017年6月22日 · The headphones noise cancel and work well with gaming and everything, as does the mic. However I've been experiencing problems with them and Discord. Most prominently, the quality of the audio for both discord and the game being played drops dramatically when using discord with the headphones, and the noise cancellation does not work.

We use Discord at the workplace for a ~100 person company. We have a discord bot that manages our CI, doing deploys, notifying about PRs and comments on github, and other misc administrative tasks. We use github, datadog, twitter, and other webhooks to channels for notifications. We used pinned messages for important stuff within channels.

I went to the discord settings and I changed the input device to Microphone (R) and the output device to my headphones and while I was changing the settings i was playing a video on youtube while I was also on a call with a friend. as soon as I heard the video I heard the games sound so I hope this might help you all.
