You can use the Gemini in Slides side panel to generate a new slide. On your computer, open Google Slides. New slides are generated using your current theme. At the top, click Ask Gemini . In the side panel, select a prompt or create your own. To create a prompt with the name of your file, insert @ before the name.

I'm preparing Slides presentations to post to Google Classroom. I'm recording and linking audio of my voice reading the slides. When I click on the Audio icon, a player appears while the audio is playing. This often obstructs the text that I want the students to read while hearing the playback.

Information about Slides recordings isn't available in Revision History. If you exceed your Drive Storage quota, you can’t create more recordings. You must have edit access to the slides in order to create a new recording. To open your presentation, go to Google Slides. To record your slideshow, in the top right, click Rec Record new video.
