The FTC is mailing 1,244 checks to consumers who bought deceptively marketed credit card interest rate reduction services after being contacted via illegal robocalls. Affected consumers will receive full refunds, with most receiving $1,100 or more, within the next week.

2023年9月4日 · Also - this is the reason why it is ALWAYS better to have a credit card and not a debit card. I don't own a debit card - only an ATM card which is NOT a debit card. I had to specifically request this. With a debit card, if there is fraud the money is out of your account and you have to wait for the bank to decide to replace it.

2016年10月10日 · Also, credit card fraud is the easiest thing in the world to get away with if you are somewhat mindful of security. Throw the card away before hitting 1K and the credit card companies will dismiss it and write it off. Use drops and burn them after a purchase. You'd be surprised how little any country cares about fraud.
