2012年3月8日 · Another question...we have to help give a horse a betadine bath. The question is this: do we bath the horse first (shampoo/condition) and then do the betadine bath of 1/4 cup betadine with 1 cup water. Or do we not shampoo/conditon first and only do the betadine solution. Or am I completely out to lunch and there is another process to follow? Thanks for any help!

2012年6月28日 · I do a dilute betadine bath for anything scuzzy like rain rot on the back or the crud they get on the legs. Maybe give her a bath then conditioner like coconut oil? Just be sure to check her every day when trying a new product on her. I would hate if she were allergic to coconut and she wasn't checked for days.

2008年12月10日 · If you're able to (given the season), I would give her a straight betadine bath and just make sure you dry the areas very well after. If you blanket, I would attempt to leave off blanketing for a while as blankets will just trap moisture in and exacerbate the problem.

2016年7月19日 · At this point, I'm assuming it's some kind of fungal disease and I'm trying a diluted Betadine bath daily with an antifungal topical spray. The other areas as shown in photos have only popped up this year.

My vet suggested betadine baths, very weak bleach baths, gave him this new injectible treatment, biopsied it. I bathed him so much he smelled like betadine when he sweated. Constant cleaning of tack and brushes. On and on and on....

2012年12月15日 · In the summer, they get hosed after a ride because they are so sweaty. I bathe the night before a show and I like to get in a bath before it gets too cold in the winter.
