Drum roll please... meet the newest member of our wild family, Ninka the Maned Wolf. Arriving from Hunter Valley Zoo a couple of weeks ago, Ninka is the daughter of Senna, our male Maned Wolf. She's settling in well under the watchful eye of her protective dad.

Adelaide Zoo is a zoo in Adelaide, Australia. It is the country's second oldest zoo (after Melbourne Zoo) opening in 1883, and is operated on a non-profit basis. [3] It is located in the parklands just north of the city centre of Adelaide, South Australia.

Adelaide Zoo is home to over 1,800 animals and almost 300 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, reptiles and fish exhibited in 8 hectares of magnificent botanic surroundings. We focus on endangered and rare animals from continents which made up the super continent Gondwana - South America, India, Africa and Australia (also South East Asia).

Standing at almost a metre tall, the Maned Wolf has chestnut red fur with black knee high socks on their slender legs, feet and muzzle.

Adelaide Zoo is home to more than 2,500 animals and 250 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, reptiles and fish over eight hectares of magnificent botanic surroundings. Our animals act as important ambassadors for their wild cousins and play a part in our wildlife conservation efforts both in our own backyard and across the globe.
