On May 9, 2013, Murdoch unveiled the new logo. On June 28, the split was made complete. On December 14, 2017, The Walt Disney Company announced its intent to acquire 21st Century Fox's entertainment assets.

The assets that were not acquired by Disney have been split into the Fox Corporation (which was informally the "New Fox" at the time). On July 27, 2018, Disney and Fox shareholders approved the acquisition and then the deal was completed on March 20, 2019.
