Oak Bay High School was evacuated on Friday morning and school was cancelled for the remainder of the day following a fire in a washroom.

BC Transit will be taking over operation of the West Coast Trail System, which launched in 2024 and is currently operated by the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District.
