Gov. JB Pritzker signed a measure requiring law enforcement to confiscate guns from alleged abusers who are subject to orders of protection.

It's a good day for Illinois," Gov. JB Pritzker said Monday. “It's also an emotional day as we remember those we have lost and those who have suffered along the way to get us here."

Gov. JB Pritzker, on Monday, singed House Bill 4144, also known as Karina’s Law, which requires local police agencies to confiscate firearms from anyone whose Firearm Owner Identification (FOID) card has been revoked because they have a restraining order against them.
