It was another big week for the team, with our reviewers finishing the testing of the LG C5 OLED TV, more than a few surprise audio announcements from the Mobile World Congress (MWC) expo in Barcelona, and fresh hi-fi from some big name brands.

The LG C5 is set to be one killer OLED this year and while there's vast improvements, I was hoping for just as bit more.

LG's two most high-profile OLED TV models are better than their excellent predecessors – but which is right for you?

The cheapest of the TVs, the LG B5, will start at €1,700. That's for the 48-incher; the largest model, at 83 inches, is €6,000. (LG had originally told TechRadar at CES 2025 that there would only be two sizes of the LG B5, but that appears not to have been accurate.) The LG C5 range starts at 42 inches for €1,700, rising to €7,200 for the 83-inch.

Like the C4, the C5 leverages a 144Hz refresh rate (not 165Hz like the higher-end LG G5 OLED) and a standard WOLED panel, which doesn't make use of Micro Lens Array display technology. Disappointingly, the LG C5 also lacks an ATSC 3.0 tuner.

It’s worth noting that the C5 comes in six screen sizes: 42, 48, 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches. The tabletop stand is swapped out for dual blade-style feet on the smallest model, while the largest version is bundled with a wider stand to accommodate the broader frame.
