After a week of smoke, ash and flames, officials with Cal Fire San Diego announced Thursday that the Border 2 Fire, located in the Otay Mountain Wilderness area, is now 100% contained.
According to OFD, firefighters responded to 401 Mission Ave. shortly after 10:20 p.m. after 911 callers reported seeing fire coming from a drainage pipe on the movie theatre's front wall.
Many of the people forced to find new housing after their homes were destroyed in the Los Angeles County wildfires have turned to nearby Orange County in search of a new start. Michele Gile reports.
