Police closed off the A358 Viaduct Road in Taunton this afternoon following an incident. Witnesses told SomersetLive a number of police vehicles were seen along with fire appliances and an ambulance.

Residents told us that they first noticed police activity at around 9am. Others spoke of their shock at an incident unfolding in the area, describing it as "quiet" and "lovely" place to live.
