The Concorde passenger jet never really took ... That jet flew its last flight in 2003, but now over 20 years later, another supersonic passenger jet just had its first flight this week.
A Carnegie Mellon University grad is behind the successful flight earlier this week of the first independently developed jet to break the sound barrier.
"We're ready to scale up. We're ready to build the passenger supersonic jet that will pick up where Concorde left off and ultimately allow the rest of us to fly supersonic," Scholl said.
