One of history's greatest teams, the 1986 Celtics, claim the franchise's sixteenth title thanks to a Larry Bird triple-double and a deafening Garden crowd.

Led by Kevin McHale and Larry Bird, who scored 21 points each, the Celtics held off the Rockets' twin towers, to take Game 1.

Failing to solve the Celtics matrix, Boston went on to win the 1986 crown in six games. That was the franchise's 16th NBA championship. Houston needed to wait to win its first NBA championship.
