Shyne Concedes Defeat, Loses General Election to Fellow UDP Candidate Lee Mark Chang
Chang’s historic victory made him the first Belizean-Chinese elected to the House of Representatives. Though he ran under the UDP, Chang was part of Tracy Panton’s rival slate of candidates, stemming from a fractured unity convention in 2024 that split the party. Panton herself was re-elected in the Albert division for a third term.
The ex-Bad Boy artist, whose real name is Moses Barrow, was defeated by businessman Lee Mark Chang in the general election.
Moses ‘Shyne’ Barrow, the leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP) and Leader of the Opposition, has conceded his seat in the Wednesday’s Belize General Elections to Lee Mark Chang.
