At tonight's Critics Choice Awards, Sarah Michelle Gellar shared how she wants to do right by the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer series.

Sarah Michelle Gellar attended the 2025 Critics Choice Awards, hosted by Chelsea Handler, and exclusively told E! News that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival may involve some OG cast members.

According to early reports of the reboot, Gellar will only appear in a recurring capacity and will not be leading the series. Instead, the series will reportedly feature a new slayer, which sounds like Buffy may be serving as a mentor to the new young hero. She will also serve as an executive producer on the series.
