Fifth death anniversary of Famous female Pashto singer and drama artist Mahjabeen Qazalbash was observed on Wednesday.

Radio Pashto drama artist and actor of Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah died in Peshawar last night after protracted illness. He was ninety one.

In 1935, he wrote the first Pashto drama, 'Zamindar,' for All India Radio Peshawar, followed by scripting the story, dialogues, and lyrics for the first Pashto film, 'Laila Majnoon,' released in 1941.
