Two pilots flying a military plane have been rescued taken to the hospital after the aircraft crashed into the water near Shelter Island in San Diego, California, according to fire officials.
SAN DIEGO — San Diego Fire Department says a military plane crashed into the San Diego Bay off of Shelter Island while attempting to land. The call to the fire department came in at 10:15 am.
The individuals, who work in an agency that oversees the nation’s nuclear stockpile, had been fired on Thursday and lost access to their federal government email accounts.
