A 45-year-old man was set on fire by an unknown attacker early Sunday near Times Square, the NYPD said. The victim, who was not publicly identified, was taken from Seventh Avenue and 41st Street in an ambulance to Weill Cornell Hospital in stable condition following the 4 a.m. attack, police said.

NEW YORK -- Police in New York City are searching for a suspect they say set a man on fire in Times Square shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday morning near West 41st Street and 7th Avenue. Officers spotted the 45-year-old victim and extinguished the flames. He was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, police said.
