Two children appeared to have frozen to death while sleeping inside a van on Monday in Detroit, according to police.

The mother and her five children were unhoused and had been living in the van, a police spokesperson confirmed.

Closures along Interstate 10 and Interstate 17 will be in place near Tempe and north Phoenix from Feb. 7 to Feb. 10.
