The Yakima native and Eastern Washington Eagle immortal who became the Super Bowl MVP three years ago with the Los Angeles Rams is signing with his home-state Seahawks as a coveted free agent. The 31-year-old wide receiver announced his return to his home state online on Twitter/X Friday afternoon.

The receiver is no longer on the Rams roster, but he could play against his former team at least twice next season after agreeing to terms with Seattle.

After spending the first eight seasons of his NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams, Cooper Kupp is heading back to his home state. Kupp, a Yakima, WA native and an alum of Eastern Washington University, is signing with the Seattle Seahawks for a three-year deal worth $45 million, per multiple reports.
