Following the Eagles and Lions on Brooks’ list of teams with the biggest Super Bowl windows are the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, and Houston Texans, respectively.

Currently, the Lions have an elite edge rusher in Aidan Hutchinson but struggled to get to the quarterback and compile sacks when he was lost for the season with a leg injury. Heading into 2025, the Lions will need to fine-tune their pass rush to put themselves in the best possible position to make a deep playoff run.

NFL analyst Mike Tannenbaum predicted the Lions to win the NFC with a similar premise: he picked Hutchinson to record 18 sacks, win NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors and lead the Lions to the Super Bowl. Three analysts, though, picked the Lions as the most likely NFL team to regress in 2025 for a variety of reasons.

Keeping talent will be the offseason priority in Detroit. Fortunately for the Lions, they have significant cap space.

The Detroit Lions announced on Tuesday the entirety of their 2025 coaching staff. Obviously, this year the Lions went through some pretty significant changes. Detroit lost both their offensive coordinator (Ben Johnson) and defensive coordinator (Aaron Glenn) to head coaching jobs,
