But Coldplay apparently just figured out that they love the Proclaimers, and they showed that love by covering a different Proclaimers song in a recent visit to BBC Radio 2’s Piano Room.

Chris Martin and Coldplay have only just discovered The Proclaimers - and now they can’t get enough of the iconic Scottish duo after performing their own emotional rendition of Sunshine on Leith.

Chris Martin had only heard the Proclaimers single “Sunshine on Leith” for the first time three days before Coldplay performed a cover of the 1988 record for BBC’s Radio 2 Piano Room.
