(JTA) — The world has had a crash course on Volodymyr Zelensky in recent days, as the Ukrainian president has galvanized his country against an unprovoked attack by neighboring Russia.

The authenticity of the recording has not been officially confirmed. Mr Zelensky, a 41-year-old TV comedian and businessman, was elected last April, trouncing President Petro Poroshenko.
