For Lankinen, it’s a fair reward for a goalie who has been everything the Canucks have needed him to be this season and perhaps more. Once it became clear ahead of training camp that Demko wouldn’t be ready to start the season as he rehabilitated a left popliteus muscle injury, the Canucks crease would be shared by Lankinen and Arturs Silovs.
