Daylight Saving Time: How long have we changed the clocks?
In 1986, Congress amended the Uniform Time Act, changing the beginning of Daylight Saving Time from last Sunday in April to the first Sunday in April, and having the end remain the last Sunday in October. These start and end dates were in effect from 1987 to 2006. The time was adjusted at 2 a.m. local time.

In a new study, researchers at the University of Toronto aimed to find out whether pet dogs and working dogs need to take any time to manage the change. They used motion-sensitive watches to examine the activity patterns of 25 working sled dogs, 29 pet dogs, and their caregivers, during the weeks surrounding the clocks “falling back”.
