PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Arizona Diamondbacks and several other teams kicked off their Cactus League schedule on Friday, under clear blue skies and 80-degree weather. Thousands of baseball fans filled the stands and the outfield lawn at Salt River Fields to watch the D-Backs and Rockies kick off their Cactus League season.

The Giants and A's will hold their first full-squad practices of Spring Training Monday in Arizona. Pitchers and catchers started up on Wednesday and now the field players are joining them. The A's are training at Hohokam Park in Mesa.
