Cricket Australia has expressed its disappointment that Australian Rules team the Adelaide Crows refused South Australia permission to host the Sheffield Shield final at Adelaide Oval later this month.

Discussions have been held between SA's premier and the Australian Football League to have the game played at Adelaide Oval in the week between football fixtures

The Sheffield Shield final won't be played at Adelaide Oval after the AFL rejected appeals from cricket and the South Australian government.
